Just a quick post to celebrate the fact that Spring has finally Sprung! The sunshine is out, there is blue sky ahead and not a cloud in sight. There is a breeze, but a warm breeze, and it's definitely mild enough to walk around with only one or two layers on - compared to the usual three or four!
I am so happy that we have finally seen the back of Winter; it felt never-ending this time! In triumph of this, I decided to lighten up the colour palette of my outfit today and include one of my all-time favourite hues - coral.
I love coral so much - it's beautiful and striking, particularly in the Summer months! I recently bought a coral skirt from Primark and I've fallen in love with it, so I chose to build an outfit around it today:
I teamed it with a shirt I purchased the other week from eBay (read about it in my mini Milton Keynes haul here), my new Primark neon necklace (as we all know how much neon is in right now and how much I'm loving it) and my slightly opaque cream Topshop jumper. The reason for this jumper was to showcase the floral print of the shirt underneath that has aspects of coral in it, as well as feel warm enough in the Spring breeze.
Although it's milder, it's certainly not red hot! Therefore tights and shoe boots are needed too. To soften the blow of the harsh black hue against the weaker prettiness of the cream and coral, I broke up my outfit with a thin black patent waist belt.
Finally, I chose my Topshop leopard print shoe boots as they seem to compliment the browny/coppery colour of my hair at the moment!

The weather is all over the place at the moment, so I'm not going to get my hopes up and push the Winter elements of my wardrobe to the back just yet. It's the irritating transitional period between seasons, where you have to mix both Winter and Summer elements of your wardrobe together, and you often leave the house either wearing not enough layers, or wearing too many!
It's about finding the right balance - looks that are a bit mismatched, but fashionable and sensible enough for April showers.
(What do you think to my Summer Coral look? Are you enjoying the warmer weather? Katie-xo)
