Aztec Pinny

Hi, everyone.

I'm afraid it's just a quick one this week; I'm in the process of moving flats which is very hectic and taking up most of my time outside of work!

I just wanted to show you how I styled my gorgeous pinafore dress (which first appeared in this May post) to create a quirky summer daytime look.

I'm going to apologise in advance because the number one rule of blogging is 'no selfie mirror photos'! Usually my boyfriend is my photographer but he had gone home for the weekend - and there was no one else around to help! Hence these selfie mirror photos. It's the first and last time you will see them on my blog, I promise!

Pinafore Dress - River Island
Aztec Crop Top - Forever 21
Tan Belt - Topshop
Jelly-Shoe-Style Flip Flops - Primark

The sunshine was out on this particular day, so I thought I would be brave and get my legs out! I teamed my pinny with this aztec print crop top and then belted it to create more of a defined hourglass silhouette.

Aztec prints are very much on trend for S/S 2013 and a favourite amongst fashionable high street stores and street style bloggers. I personally love a good aztec print because they are individualistic and add interest to an outfit.

I then threw on some gold jewellery, to compliment the tan tones in my look, and my new jelly-shoe-style flip flops in order to be comfortable in the sun.

I was hoping that the tan tones would transfer to my skin whilst walking about in the sun, but it didn't really turn out that way! Although I am going on holiday in a couple of weeks time, so I guess it will happen eventually!

(Do you like my outfit? How would you style a pinny for a summer look? Katie-xo)

  1. Love this outfit :) I'm very tempted to buy a pinafore dress, just not sure if it would suit my shape or not. It looks lovely on you though. Good luck with the move! x

    1. Aww thanks, m'love! :) I think you should go for it! They suit most body shapes as they define your waist. Xo
