Sorry for the delay in posting this week. I've been super busy! I had two team away days with Fossil on Thursday and Friday and then yesterday I spent the day catching up with old friends. I saw one of my best uni friends who I hadn't seen since graduating in 2012 (how crazy is that?!) then a friend that I used to work with at Debenhams. I've absolutely loved the past few days. I know people say that January is usually long and boring but I'm thoroughly enjoying mine this year!
The outfit that I'm going to show you today is one that I wore last weekend for the cinema. I went to see '12 Years a Slave'. It's an incredible story - definitely worth a watch.
Unfortunately it was raining that day so I couldn't make use of the natural light; I had to settle for my (not so) lovely looking corridor.
I always like to go 'smart casual' to the cinema, so I thought I would pop on one of my new Primark dresses (originally showcased in this haul post).
I couldn't resist this dress when I saw it. I'm a sucker for anything floral. The cobalt blue hues were a bonus as I thought they'd compliment my blue eyes and blonde hair.
However, I decided that it needed toughening up to fit in with my 'pretty grunge' kind of style - hence the thick black tights, lace-up heeled boots and bed-head hair.
The weather was super chilly, as well as rainy, therefore a snugly scarf was needed! I picked out my cream one to lift the cream tones of the florals in the dress.
I then added my new woolly grey jacket (which I'd purchased from Tesco F+F the previous week in the sale) for extra comfort and warmth.
Floral Dress - Primark
Cream Scarf - Monsoon
Black Tights - M&S
Lace-Up Heeled Boots - New Look
Silver Bracelet - Fossil (*)
Woolly Grey Jacket - Tesco F+F
The final touch was my beautiful metallic Fossil handbag. This added contrast to my colour palette without it being too contradictory.
Metallic Handbag - Fossil
Silver Rings - All Pandora
'Pretty grunge', right?
