I’m so sorry it’s been a while since I last posted. I had a lot to do in preparation for my holiday, then I actually went on holiday!
Last Saturday, Kane and I came back from a week in sunny Spain (Alicante, to be exact)! It was wonderful to relax, get some sun and only have to worry about where we were eating or drinking next.
The only downside is that I’ve gone back to work this week and managed to pick up the bug that seems to be making its way around the Marketing department! I have a horrid sore throat and nausea; body, you betray me.
However, I’m dosed up on Lemsip and cough sweets so I’m hoping I will fight it off soon.
I hate being ill. I always feel sorry for myself (yes, I’m one of those people), but talking about my time out of the country will cheer me up. I’ll be talking more about Alicante as a holiday destination in upcoming blog posts but, for now, I just thought I’d share with you my favourite night time outfit of the week.
Pink Floral Dress – Primark
Metallic Sandals – NEXT
Quilted White Leather Handbag – Vintage
Silver and Pearl Necklace – Vintage
Gold and Silver Midi Rings – Primark
I bought this dress for a mere £6 in Primark – you’ve got to love a bit of Primarni – and wore it near the beginning of the holiday. Admittedly, it would have looked better the more tanned I got, but I was just so excited to wear it – I couldn’t wait any longer!
As the dress is quite loud, with its bold hue and statement floral print, I decided to keep my accessories to a minimum in order to let the dress do the talking.
As we were eating out, I thought I’d add a bit of sparkle through a silver and pearl necklace, which picked up the grey and white tones in the print of the dress, and my metallic gold sandals with silver stones. I then used my quilted white leather handbag for added sophistication.
The temperature was often in the twenties in Alicante, even on an evening, so I finished the outfit off with bare legs and an up-do. Although, I did take my creamy white ZARA cardigan to beat those pesky night time chills when the sun went down.
The night I wore this dress was the first time we walked around the harbour and it was absolutely stunning in the sunset.
We had a great time! It’s a shame I had to come home and get ill, but c’est la vie.
(Do you like my dress? Have you been to Alicante before? If so, what did you think? Thanks so much for reading! Katie-xo)
