It’s been a little while since I headed to the Las Vegas clubs and parties for the fourth time to celebrate my sister’s 30th birthday, but I feel like I’m still getting over them.
Vegas generally has that effect on you.
Whether it’s your first, seventh or hundredth time, the city always stays with you for several weeks afterwards. It’s a very special place full of fun and variety, which is why it always feels new and exciting each time that you visit.
I know people rave about it a lot, but it IS true what they say: there’s nowhere else in the world quite like Las Vegas.
You can walk around and shop. You can explore. You can visit the Grand Canyon. You can spend hours in each casino. But, above all else, you can party.
Oh, MAN, can you party!
Anyone who’s ever visited Vegas before knows how freakin’ CRAZY it is. Every time I visit, the time passes so quickly in a haze of jetlag, clubs and alcohol.
(After all, the city’s in the Pacific time zone, which is eight hours back from the UK. I hate to break it to you, but it really does mess with the ol’ body clock!)
That’s why it’s so important to live it up in Vegas (BABY) whilst you can. From bar-hopping on the strip to eating in one of their many amazing restaurants, there’s always an abundance of things to do to keep you entertained…
…Especially if you like a good party.
Having visited a fair few countries on my travelling trips, I can safely say that Vegas is one of the party capitals of the world.
Here are 5 Las Vegas clubs and parties you need to check out if you’re 21+ and ever in the city.
Hands down, Omnia is my absolute favourite club in the city.
From the rooftop terrace overlooking the strip to their revolving roof on the dancefloor (it sounds confusing, but you’ll know what I mean if you’ve ever been there before), Omnia is just a whole bunch of awesomeness from start to finish.
Calvin Harris and The Chainsmokers often do DJ sets there and the atmosphere is always bumpin’. I’d recommend going on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday night to experience one of the best club nights in Vegas.
Heading to a pool party during the summer months is a rite of passage when in Vegas.
MGM Grand is home to the Wet Republic pool party, which takes place in its own section of the hotel complete with a bar, pool, palm trees and sun loungers. There’s a particularly nice ambience when the sun is shining as it makes the clear blue pool water sparkle.
Head there on a Monday or Thursday for the standard pool party, or on a Saturday if you want to catch one of their special DJ guests.
Another one of my favourite Vegas club nights, Intrigue takes place at the Wynn hotel.
The first time we went, my sister and I saw Marshmello before he got famous and he absolutely tore the place up. We’ve been a couple of times since and it’s always been great! Intrigue on a Wednesday night never gets old.
I particularly like the layout of the club; it’s like a semi circle around the dance floor, but there’s also an outdoor a terrace and pool area where you can dance the night away. It can’t be beaten.
I’ve only been to Hakkasan once so far, but it was a really good time.
Before it turns into a nightclub, Hakkasan is an Asian-fusion restaurant, which I’ve never personally experienced but I’ve heard good things about. Then, when it becomes the club, it’s super fun and often hosts world-famous DJs like Tiesto and Steve Aoki.
Head there on either a Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday night for one of the greatest nights out that you’ve ever had.
Surrender is like Intrigue’s cousin as it’s based in Encore, which is the sister hotel to Wynn.
Its indoor bar and dancefloor area is kind of small and intimate; however, the outdoor terrace is pretty significant in size and feels very upmarket thanks to the many reserved booths and red carpets.
Surrender’s main night is Thursday when they sometimes have guest DJs. The best thing about this club is its “small but mighty” feel. It’s always a good time!
No matter which Las Vegas clubs and parties you decide to check out, I can guarantee that you’re going to have THE TIME OF YOUR LIFE. Even if you’re not prepared to party every night, make sure that you sample the city’s famous nightlife at least once.
After all, it’s VEGAS BABY! And life’s for living.
